You know that feeling… that feeling when you read something that resonates so deeply you can feel it in your bones? I have just finished reading this book by Stephen Unwin and I feel that way. It is important. It’s important because it tells the history of people with learning disabilities, an often forgotten history. Lucy got her first badges at Guides this week. I love that the Girlguiding programme allows for her to have her efforts and involvement recognised. Please don’t worry though… in event of emergency I will not be sending her to apply her first aid skills… unless what is required is a good hug that may or may not be so tight that it causes injury in itself! #girlguides #girlguiding #girlguidinguk #girlguidesofinstagram #AAC #AACAwareness #disability #disabilityawareness #disabilities #disabilty #disabilityinclusion #disabilityrights ...
